Quincy Jones

Jules’ ongoing work with Quincy is a project that celebrates the music giant’s remarkable vision and legacy. Under Jules’ curation, it presents an overview of Quincy’s musical milestones in an orchestral setting with new and fascinating arrangements alongside guest artists.

The program’s initial concept premiered in 2016 at the BBC Proms in London, where Jules Buckley led the “flawless” Metropole Orkest in a stunning tribute to his idol.

This collaboration continues to this day with subsequent concerts performed in Stuttgart, Paris, Montreux and Seattle, including Quincy’s 85th birthday at London’s O2 in 2018, which saw the legend himself perform his hits to brand new arrangements.

Collectively, these programs have assembled some of the most celebrated singers and musicians in the world, notably Mark Ronson, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jon Batiste, Jacob Collier, George Benson, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marcus Miller, Laura Mvula, Cory Henry, Richard Bona, and Sheléa.
